KFC is making a new image makeover and wants consumers to unthink KFC. Unthink is a very good word for an image makeover isn't it? Now, KFC has created UnthinkKFC.com where it gives away free coupons for a free KFC grilled chicken.
The Kentucky Fried Chicken coupons are available for printing from 9 AM CDT 5/5/09 to 9:59 PM CDT 5/6/09. Coupon is redeemable at participating KFC locations in the U.S. from 5/5/09 to 5/19/09, excluding 5/10/09.
Twenty-one KFC locations in Memphis have opted not to sell the grilled chicken. The Memphis locations are owned by Jonesboro, Ark.-based Fowler Foods Inc. Company officials did not return phone calls.
However, managers at several of Fowler's KFC locations said placing grills in these facilities would cost the franchise owner thousands of dollars.

Always eager to lend a hand, Innis O'Rourke Jr. served as an Upper Brookville village trustee for many years even as he served on the boards of three companies and helped raise funds for Glen Cove Hospital.
O'Rourke died Wednesday in Venice, Fla., after suffering a stroke. He was 87.
"He was very interested in the village and had lots of ideas and wanted to contribute and give assistance whenever possible," said his son, Innis O'Rourke III, 58, of Upper Brookville.
Born in Kings Point on Sept. 22, 1921, O'Rourke graduated from Yale University, where he had played football and rugby. Passionate about the football team, O'Rourke attended games at the Yale Bowl until last year, his son said.
A member of the ROTC while at Yale, O'Rourke joined the U.S. Navy in December 1942, and served as a lieutenant and executive officer in World War II on several vessels, including the USS Kirk, USS Charles S. Sperry and USS Wisconsin.

"Next to Normal," "Rock of Ages," "Shrek The Musical" and, the favorite, "Billy Elliot, The Musical" scored Tony nominations on Tuesday morning in the crucial category of best musical, while "Dividing the Estate," "God of Carnage," "Reasons to be Pretty" and "33 Variations" were nominated as the best new play of the 2008-09 Broadway season. "Billy Elliot" scored more nominations than any other show, with 15.

In the crowded category of best revival of a play, "Joe Turner's Come and Gone," "Mary Stuart" and "Waiting for Godot" all got nomination nods, squeezing out Robert Falls' Goodman Theatre production of "Desire Under the Elms." Carla Gugino, the show's star, did not get a nomination for best actress in a play, even though that was widely expected. But Steppenwolf ensemble member Martha Plimpton got a nomination in the best supporting actress in a musical category for her work in the nominated "Pal Joey." Other nominations for best musical revival were "Guys and Dolls," "Hair," and "West Side Story."
In the acting nominations, the entire four-person cast of "God of Carnage" (James Gandolfini, Hope Davis, Marcia Gay Harden and Jeff Daniels) were, remarkably, given Tony nominations as leading performers.

Cinco de Mayo is celebrated each year on, not surprisingly, May 5, and it is a fun day for kids to enjoy. The holiday is in honor of a battle in 1862, when Mexico fought against an invasion by the French. Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza led a force of 4,000 soldiers and was able to defeat a French army of twice as many men. The French occupation didn't end until 1866, but it inspired Mexicans and Mexican Americans. In the 1960's and 1970's, Cinco de Mayo became associated with efforts by Mexican Americans to get more respect in their American home.
